Mitigation Technician

Position Overview:

The Mitigation Technician plays a vital role in our emergency response team. You will be responsible for assisting lead technicians with mitigating damage in residential and commercial properties by assessing, extracting, drying, and dehumidifying affected areas. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in fast-paced, challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to emergency damage calls and assess the severity of the situation.
• Assist in the inspection, documentation, and monitoring of moisture levels using industry-standard tools and technology.
• Set up containment areas to prevent cross-contamination.
• Move, pack, and clean contents affected by water damage.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, lead technician, and other team members to ensure proper restoration processes are followed.
• Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
• Ensure job sites are safe, clean, and organized.
• Document work performed, including detailed notes and photos, for insurance claims.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in water mitigation, restoration, or construction preferred.
• IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) Certification preferred (training provided for the right candidate).
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding conditions, including confined spaces, standing for long periods, and working in adverse environments.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
