BEPC is actively looking for a Occupational Health Nurse in Hillsboro, OR area!

1 year contract with possible extensions!

Pay: $39.21-$50.00

Shift: Schd. 3 days per week, 11-730. Either Tuesday-Thursday or Monday/Tuesday/Thursday.


The OHN will play a pivotal role in planning, implementing, and managing health and wellness programs while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, the OHN will support the site’s safety, security, and environmental sustainability efforts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the site’s subject matter expert for occupational health, OSHA recordkeeping, and workers’ compensation.
  • Evaluate and treat occupational injuries and illnesses, ensuring timely and appropriate care.
  • Collaborate with employees, management, internal Health Services teams, and external occupational medicine providers to represent values and objectives.
  • Identify health risks and hazards by analyzing data from accident reports, OSHA logs, medical cases, and worksite surveys.
  • Conduct ergonomic evaluations, injury care, and medical surveillance screenings.
  • Provide counseling, education, and training on occupational health and wellness topics.
  • Promote employee well-being both at work and at home through tailored health initiatives.
  • Maintain and safeguard confidential medical records, including records related to OHM, workers’ compensation filings, and OSHA reporting.
  • Track and report progress on Health Services goals using key performance metrics, indicators, and scorecards.
  • Manage and communicate sensitive employee health matters with professionalism and discretion.


Qualifications:

  • Education & Licensing:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a valid Oregon license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Certification as an Occupational Health Nurse Specialist (COHN-S) preferred.
  • Completion of hearing conservation and/or spirometry courses is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required.
  • At least 1 year in occupational health nursing preferred.
