Plant Manager / Production Manager directs and coordinates the activities of the plant with overall responsibility for planning, production, productivity, quality, inventory control, and labor relations within the facility. Additionally, they provides coaching and direction to the floor technicians to insure targets are met. Directs and coordinates activities of the plant by performing the duties personally or through subordinates. Heavy interaction with sales and engineering required, as well as a proactive style with Senior Management.
Essential Skills And Experience
Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Engineering or related field
4-6 Years previous experience in Plant and Operations Management
Proven Management and Supervisory Experience
ISO Knowledge / Experience
Proficient Verbal and Written English Communication Skills
Have at least 2 years’ experience manufacturing water meters preferred
Have been successful setting quality processes into place in a meter manufacturing environment preferred
Must have experience working with contract manufacturers.
Six Sigma certification at the Green Belt level with Lean DFSS strongly desired

Plan, direct, or coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for fabricating Zenner water meters in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications. Identifies training needs and initiatives for development of subordinates. Ensure that the authority, accountability and responsibility for each position is defined and understood. Assure that order and production needs are met to meet on time deliveries of orders to resellers and end user customers. Responsible for the upkeep of all equipment on the manufacturing floor to maintain optimal performance of the plant operations.

Work directly with suppliers to ensure consistent quality of components & raw materials; Identify and implement materials and processing alternatives for Value Improvement and Warranty initiatives
