Hoopes Vision is a leading ophthalmology practice that provides the newest, safest, and most innovative vision correction technology in an atmosphere of warm, personalized patient care, all with a goal to revolutionize the process of vision correction surgery and patient experience.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree.
10+ years of medical practice management experience, including oversight of human resources and personnel management, ideally in ophthalmology with a refractive/Lasik component.
Strong financial background with previous bookkeeping experience.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
People management skills to lead, coach, and mentor employees and managers.
Proven knowledge of managing all aspects of practice operations, including human resources, developing and leading a high-performing team, retaining staff, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency/growth, and financial management.
Excellent relationship-building and team-building skills.
Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with physicians, payers, and staff at multiple levels.
Collaborative nature; able to reach consensus among different personalities.
Balance of strategic thinking with day-to-day operational management; ability to guide organizations through important strategic decisions and implement expansion opportunities.
Knowledge of national and state labor laws and regulations.
Financial acumen and experience with medical practice finances.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
Technologically savvy (e.g., accounting software, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office).
Expertise in insurance (vision and medical), coding, and billing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Business planning and business development.
Human resources, recruiting, and personnel management.
Onboarding and credentialing of new providers.
Daily practice operations, efficiency, and scheduling.
Financial operations and reporting (in cooperation with accountant).
Oversight of billing (in cooperation with billing team).
Oversight of compliance (in cooperation with compliance officer).
Administrative duties, such as office supplies, building maintenance, petty cash, etc.
Relationship management with referring providers, ancillary services, and so on.
The salary range for this position is $185,000 - $195,000, dependent upon skills and experience.
