The President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is a visionary leader, with extensive experience in non-profit management, a strong background in child welfare services, and exceptional strategic planning and communication skills.



Position Overview

A leading non-profit organization in Hawaii dedicated to supporting children and families involved in the child welfare system seeks an experienced and visionary President and CEO. The CEO will oversee all aspects of the organization’s programs, operations, and community relations while developing new initiatives and funding sources to further the organization's mission of strengthening families and providing high-quality prevention, support, and transition services.



Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Board Governance: Provide vision and leadership, implement strategic plans, and ensure effective communication within the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Program Management: Oversee daily operations, manage personnel, handle fiscal responsibilities, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets, monitor financial status, and engage in fundraising and development activities.
  • Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with community partners, funding sources, and the media; act as the primary spokesperson for the organization.
  • Compliance and Quality Improvement: Ensure all programs and services comply with state regulations and internal policies, and implement continuous quality improvement strategies.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in social work, public health, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years in an executive or administrative role involving fiscal management and program planning
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience in child welfare services and practices
