Project Coordinator
Hip Hop Caucus is hiring a Project Coordinator to play a pivotal role in orchestrating a diverse array of projects within the Storytelling and Communications Division, which houses the Digital, Production, PR, and Artist Relations Departments. This work will span across social, digital, paid media, and design initiatives, ensuring the seamless production, approval, and delivery of high-volume deliverables. The Project Coordinator is an organized, detailed-oriented, efficient and solutions-driven critical thinker. This role reports to the Senior Director of Storytelling and Communications, and requires someone who is a motivated self-starter who takes initiative, thinks strategically, and can thrive in a team environment with many competing priorities and deadlines.
Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Coordinate and oversee the Storytelling & Communications’ production workflow for including various deliverables, ensuring efficient progress from inception to completion.
- Manage and organize assets, track creative briefs, and maintain up-to-date status reports and tracking systems.
- Serve as a primary liaison between multiple departments such as Digital, Production, Public Relations, Artist & Influencer Relations, Development, Events, Office of the President and Campaigns & Advocacy.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams about project timelines, adjustments, and budget considerations.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new vendors and maintain ongoing communication to ensure project objectives are met.
- Handle coding, processing, and tracking of team invoices and assist with budget management in coordination with department leaders.
- Support logistical aspects of the Storytelling & Communications Team, including meeting schedules and travel arrangements.
- Engage actively in departmental and team brainstorming sessions to contribute innovative ideas and solutions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- At least one year of experience in a non-profit, entertainment or administrative role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or Project Management is preferred.
- Proficiency in Asana, Slack, Google Suite, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Additional Requirements
The successful candidate must be able to occasionally work extended hours on evenings and/or weekends, and must be able toaccommodate moderate travel. Successful reference checks will be required.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a remote position that is based ideally in or near Washington, D.C. or Los Angeles, CA. The salary range for this role is $45,000-60,000 annually based on experience and qualifications. Hip Hop Caucus also offers a generous and comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, vacation days, sick time, an IRA match plan, life insurance, and flexible spending accounts.
