Position Summary:

The Provider Relations Lead is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare providers, ensuring high standards of care, and managing the provider network database. This role involves initial interactions with potential providers, conducting thorough screenings and background checks, and visiting clinics and surgery centers. The Provider Relations Lead will play a crucial role in updating internal systems, managing communications, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and high-quality care for our clients.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct introductory meetings with potential healthcare providers to establish relationships.
  • Evaluate and screen providers to ensure they meet the organization’s standards of care.
  • Conduct thorough background checks on providers to verify credentials and professional history.
  • Regularly update and maintain the provider network database to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure Maptive software is regularly updated with the latest provider information.
  • Forward emails related to case updates, medical records, and case requests to the appropriate case managers.
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise with providers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee the initial referrals team to ensure efficient and effective referral processes.
  • Identify and secure unique or specialized providers as needed for specific cases.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings between healthcare providers and attorneys.
  • Communicate case updates and relevant information to providers in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of initial referrals and monitor their progress.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with providers to keep them informed about updates and changes.
  • Actively seek out and recruit new providers to expand the network and ensure diverse treatment options.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in provider relations, healthcare management, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency with database management and Maptive software.
  • Ability to conduct thorough background checks and evaluations.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site visits to facilities in our provider care network.

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
  • Stand/Sit – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
  • Walk – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc.
  • Use of hands/fingers to handle or feel – Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
  • Climbs stairs – May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria, and parking area.
  • Carry Weight/Lift - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
  • Occasional travel is required.
