Public Relations Intern

We’re currently hiring for our hybrid Public Relations Intern position! We’re looking for someone to start in July/August 2024. You’ll support our national PR clients, including leading brands like OtterBox, O-Cedar and Lakeshore Learning. Responsibilities:

• Daily account/industry monitoring, creating and maintaining client updates and recaps, research assignments, media writing and pitching, media list creation, influencer program support, vendor management and on-site event management.
• Contribute to agency brainstorms, program planning and supporting the agency’s new business efforts
• Write creative and accurate news releases, headlines and fact sheets
• Understand clients’ top-tier media and be able to identify appropriate media contacts for upcoming pitches

Qualifications:

• Ability to work effectively in a remote office setting
• Previous internships in the PR/ communications field
• Good interpersonal and communications skills 
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments and deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of AP style
•  Proficient in MS Office
• Strong ability to multitask
• Strong willingness to learn from superiors and provide regular project updates
