Position Purpose:
This position supervises 5-7 District Managers in a large geographic area, acting as a liaison between the Retail Marketing Department and the District Managers. They are also responsible for supervising 50-75 retail locations in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Visit locations with or without District Managers to make recommendations to maximize potential profits.
- Assure the operational practices of all locations in the Region are in compliance with all corporate guidelines, objectives and Company policies and procedures.
- Assure all marketing objectives are in compliance with corporate directives.
- Monitors budgets, cash loss, merchandise shrink, labor controls and location sales.
- Make sure all corporate safety guidelines are being met with full compliance.
- Review corporate directed plan-o-gram compliance so as to achieve maximum sales and limit out of stock situations.
- Works with various vendors to make sure corporate programs are executed to maximize profitability.
- Assist District Managers in all critical decisions relating to personnel and marketing.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Essential that the Regional Manager commands authority but is also approachable.
- Strong leadership and team building ability.
- Strong communications skills and work ethic.
- Problem solving, technical and analytical skills.
- Ability to conduct on site location visits to assess overall conditions and controls to ensure location is on the correct path to achieve Company goals and objectives.
Programs/Equipment Used
- Strong knowledge of computers and various programs used.
- iPhone
- Maintain valid driver’s license
Required Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in business
- 10 years of retail management experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in business
Work Environment:
- Some office time required
- Extensive travel to all locations in the Region
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to move 35 lbs.
- Walk, sit, bend and stoop.
- The ability to travel long distances.
- Weekend work and overnight travel required.
