Research Librarian

The Ford Agency is recruiting for a proactive and analytical thinker to join a fast-paced DC based law firm. The Librarian will be involved with independent research on a variety of legal and non-legal topics, work cross-departmentally, and stay up to date with new technologies. This is a terrific opportunity for an individual with a Master's Degree in Library Science who has at least one year of experience working in a law firm library to work in a collaborative team environment!

Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct legal, corporate, and legislative research utilizing digital and print resources
• Collaborate with attorneys and other departments to support business development
• Collaborate with the Conflicts department on research requests
• Support a variety of professional departments
• Maintain up to date knowledge with technology and research methods

Qualifications Include:

• MS in Library Science or Information Science
• 1+ years of experience in a law firm library
• Experience with legal, corporate, and due diligence research
• Experience using Westlaw, Lexis, Law 360, Bloomberg BNA, and other print and digital resources
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Superb writing skills
