The Opportunity

Safety Rail Company is looking for an Account Manager who will function to deepen client relationships, support business/sales functions, and further grow revenue of primarily key distributor and national account partnerships. This position reports to the VP of Sales, and provides tremendous growth opportunities.

Strong candidates will be focused on professional development, motivated to excel, and embrace technology. Working with varying sizes of sales partners and handling multiple accounts simultaneously, an Account Manager has exceptional consultative selling skills, enjoys problem solving and is able to translate our capabilities into specific benefits for a prospective client organization.

The Account Manager has professional sales experience selling business-to-business. They bring a detail-oriented approach to the job and will drive the entire sales process from lead generation to procurement working closely with colleagues in other functional groups to close deals.

Work Location: This a full-time onsite position for the first 6 months, with potential for flexibility after that time period based on performance.

What does the job entail?

  • Develop and define project scopes-of-work, managing internal resources to present compelling proposals, CRM customer management, order processing, maintaining effective and professional communication for winning in a competitive environment.
  • Manage and support all aspects of account(s): activity tracking, opportunity management, revenue forecasting, contract management, and closing deals
  • As a process-driven company, we have defined procedures and methodologies. You will be expected to follow these procedures as trained.  While company procedures are fluid and evolve through continuous improvement, all are expected to operate under one SRC methodology versus an individual’s personal style or individual methodology.
  • You will work together with our Installation PMs and Manufacturing Team on select projects to convey client needs and/or changes; as well as collect project updates, scheduling, escalations, and costing.
  • As a key point of contact with distributors and national accounts, professional communication is required at all times. Furthermore, you will be responsible for accurately communicating the successes and concerns to foster the highest level of service and long-term success.
  • Maintain the distributor and national account relationships to offer SRC’s products and services for continued growth and future work.
  • A project’s positive evaluation will be based first and foremost on Zero Safety Incidents. Every decision and action must be made to achieve this outcome.
  • Provide thorough organization to minimize project difficulties. Organized projects are critical to keeping a positive and safe workplace.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional, safe, and businesslike manner when on-site. SRC client facilities are to be treated with utmost respect. This Includes stringent adherence to SRC AND CUSTOMER corporate policies.
  • Full engagement in SRC’s CRM, MRP System and Smartsheet Project Management System
  • This position may require infrequent travel – estimated at 4-6 times/year
  • Other duties as assigned

Are you qualified?

  • 3-5+ years of professional and successful business-to-business sales experience (exceptionals consultative selling approach)
  • Excellent problem solving and is able to translate our capabilities into specific benefits for a prospective client organization

  • Confident, competitive, thorough, flexible
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated
  • Excited about managing multiple, simultaneous priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior CRM experience
  • Prior experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) or Construction/Building Materials Industry, preferred
  • Oracle NetSuite ERP experience, preferred
  • Complete necessary training requirements (OSHA 10 and OSHA30), provided by SRC
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude
