Based: Home-based in mainland Europe (not UK/Ireland)

Salary: Guide of €140-180k plus 25% bonus (small degree of flexibility if needed)


This is a global food ingredients producer with ambitions to further its already significant presence in key European markets such as Germany, France and the Netherlands. In this strategic position, you’ll direct a diverse team of Account Managers with the main customer focus being savoury food manufacturers.


With a stable and experienced team in place, the business has significant capacity in its European manufacturing facilities to take on new customers, so the balance between volume and margin will be a key consideration for you as you look to achieve aggressive sales growth over the next few years.


Naturally, there will be plenty of international travel involved across Europe and occasionally further afield. You’ll have a P&L responsibility that’s fast approaching €100m.


This will suit someone who enjoys making a big impact on an ambitious business where you’ll have strong support from a marketing, R&D, regulatory and operational perspective. You’ll drive the strategy to get the very best out of your sales team, supporting them when it comes to top level negotiations.


We’re looking for someone with significant commercial experience in the B2B food ingredients industry in mainland Europe. Key to the challenge here will be understanding how to motivate and best manage your team, which comprises of many different nationalities and personalities, so we’ll be looking for evidence of managing a highly international, multi-cultural sales team. Your experience in food ingredients does not need to be in a particular area, but exposure to key manufacturers in the savoury arena would be highly beneficial. You’ll be able to show evidence of setting and delivering a winning strategy to support sustainable commercial success.


You can be based anywhere in mainland Europe and in addition to your native language (German or French preferred), you will speak fluent English, as a minimum. We can’t consider UK-based applicants or applicants based outside of mainland Europe for this opportunity.
