Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Position Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a blend of strong technical expertise in Front End Web/Mobile applications and responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining scripts and software to automate testing for web, and mobile applications.

What You’ll Be Working On (Your Impact):

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for React Web applications using Selenium tool and Flutter mobile applications using BrowserStack or similar for Android & iOS platforms.
• Implement and optimize test frameworks and tools to support automated testing.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage by writing and executing test cases for new and existing features.
• Perform functional, regression, performance and compatibility testing of web and mobile applications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using Jira or similar bug tracking tool.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand product requirements and translate them into test plans and test cases.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing and faster release cycles using tools like Jenkins, Gitlab.
• Work with DevOps teams to ensure smooth and efficient build and deployment processes.
• Advocate for and implement best practices in test automation and software quality.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers, to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior SDETs and QA team members.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ Years proven experience as an SDET or similar role with a focus on web and mobile front-end development.
• Strong experience with web front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Extensive experience with Flutter framework for mobile application development.
• Experience working in version control tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, Gitlab
• Familiar with Testing lifecycle in Agile / Scrum projects, Defect Management lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with Java concepts like Array and Collections.
• Hands-on experience with Linux, Windows, and/or mobile devices.
• Experience with Test processes, open source test frameworks, test design strategies, writing test cases, and automating tests in Java with frameworks like JUnit/TestNG, Selenium, and BrowserStack is preferred.
• Experience with tools & applications such as JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Git and Artifactory/Maven.
• Good understanding of Postman & REST APIs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality software.
• Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Web & Mobile testing tools and methodologies.
• Previous experience with Crypto Domain is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary Range of USD $60,000 - $110,000

Location

This opportunity is for a full-time position for candidates residing within the United States, Canada, or LATAM. Coinme is a fully remote organization.

Travel

Coinme is fully remote, and this position may require periodic travel.
