Senior Credit Risk Manager

Vivid Rock are proud to be partnering with an exciting and innovative high growth Fin-Tech as they continue to scale at pace due to significant interest in their cloud-based products and solutions. As a result of their success, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Risk Manager who will work closely with the Group VP & MD to set up and manage a Credit Risk function for the US division of the business. Alongside building the function, the role has the following responsibilities and requirements:

• Develop policies to handle delinquent accounts.
• Monitor current market trends to identify new risks that may pose threats to the business.
• Build strong working relationships with all key suppliers.
• Set up controls for the review of loan applications to determine if applicants meet criteria for creditworthiness.
• Recommend changes to improve existing lending practices.
• Analyse fraud/risk exposure and recommending/implementing solutions to mitigate potential losses.
• Produce weekly/monthly performance reporting for Executive Committee.
• Introduce and help implement relevant software and tools required
• Monitor compliance with local laws regarding lending practices

Key Skills:

• Significant consumer experience in a similar credit risk role.
• Data analysis and underwriting experience.
• Track record of scorecard development and scorecard refinement experience.
• In depth experience of sub-prime markets.
• Detailed knowledge of US credit landscape
• Technical knowledge around credit risk analysis and the tools available for obtaining the necessary credit information.
• Experience of dealing with clients in a B2B environment and the ability to effectively analyse information received.
• Display an appreciation, understanding and interest in how business and the economy in general works.
• Capable of planning own work to achieve objectives.
• Ability to absorb information quickly and efficiently will be expected.
• A pro-active self starter who can work in a methodical manner with limited supervision.

This role is an US East Coast hybrid based role.
