Summary of Position:


Reporting directly to the Director of Financial Reporting and the Manager of Financial Reporting, the Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will play an integral part in the preparation, analysis, and presentation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. This role will maintain various workbooks and models that support the financial reporting deliverables as well as help with various accounting research to reach company conclusions on accounting for certain transactions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timeliness in financial reporting.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


The following represents most of the duties performed by the position but is not meant to be all-inclusive nor prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary. Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory, environmental, and safety rules and standards, as well as corporate policies.


As a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for:


  • Assisting with preparation of accurate and timely monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders to gather relevant financial data and disclosures for inclusion in external reporting documents, such as quarterly and annual reports and statutory filings.
  • Preparing monthly financial packages and coordinate review and delivery to relevant stakeholders.
  • Preparing ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required by management.
  • Assisting with technical accounting research and preparing company position memos and the implementation of any new company policies.
  • Staying updated on new accounting pronouncements and regulations, and help assess their impact on financial reporting, and help implement necessary changes accordingly.
  • Collaborating with internal audit teams and external auditors to facilitate audits and reviews of financial statements.
  • Helping drive process improvement within the team and overall accounting function.



Qualifications & Requirements:


  • Have a bachelor’s degree in accounting is required (master’s degree is preferred).
  • CPA certification is required.
  • 3+ years of public (Big Four experience preferred) or private accounting experience.
  • Have knowledge of US GAAP and SEC Regulations (SEC reporting is preferred, but not required).
  • Must have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Must be able to work independently or collaborate effectively within a team and cross-functionally, on all levels of the organization.
  • Be able to adapt to the needs of the business with short notice.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word and Excel).
  • Experience with accounting software and financial reporting tools (e.g., DFIN and OneStream) is preferred, but not required.



Working Conditions/Environment:


  • Operates in a professional and/or business casual office environment.



Position Type:


  • This is a full-time position.
  • Hybrid work schedule. Typically, two days on-site per week; however, some weeks may require additional on-site support.
