Sr. Human Resources Generalist
Caire is seeking a positive, inquisitive HR Generalist, to join our collaborative team providing both company and employee support at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a high level of integrity and will be proactive and have experience handling a variety of human resources tasks. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, must possess excellent attention to detail, is able to work independently but remains open to guidance and growth within the Human Resource area. Additionally, the HR Generalist will support ownership management and other general HR matters while proactively addressing necessary administrative tasks. Someone who enjoys going home knowing they put their best foot forward and made a difference by supporting the company and its staff. Will work with our payroll team as well on payroll processing duties. This is a hybrid role with 4 days in the manufacturing facility, and one day remote.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
To perform this job effectively, the successful candidate is expected to demonstrate ownership and take accountability for tasks including but not limited to the following:
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions. Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Instrumental in writing job descriptions and open requisitions.
- Establishes relationships with and negotiates contracts with staffing agencies.
- Initiates background checks, pre-employment drug screens, and employee eligibility verifications.
- Responsible for onboarding and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including benefits, leave, productivity, recognition, and workers compensation.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers; referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Collaborates with Payroll Manager to ensure accurate and timely transfer of employee data for payroll processing.
- Coordinates offboarding and exit interview surveys.
- Handles unemployment claims.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- ADP Workforce Now Payroll and HR experience big plus
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to take action as necessary.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS system.
- Prompt, hardworking, and entrepreneurial.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to excel in a multi-task, fast paced environment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- A minimum of 4 years’ of human resource experience.
- Minimal travel required.
