Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, Munich (www.mutares.com), acquires medium-sized companies and parts of groups with headquarter in Europe that are being sold in the course of a repositioning process at their owners and show a clear potential for operational improvement. Mutares actively supports and develops its portfolio companies with its own investment and consulting teams as well as through acquisitions of strategic add-ons. Our goal is to acquire companies with a turnover of EUR 100 to 750 million. The aim is to achieve a clear value increase with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth of the portfolio company.
Within our OPS team, we are looking to hire a leader who has a successful track record in Finance with a continuous improvement attitude and an entrepreneurial mindset. This role will be located at portfolio companies, on site across Europe.
Your Tasks
Within our OPS team, we are looking to hire a leader who has a successful track record in Finance with a continuous improvement attitude and an entrepreneurial mindset. This role will be located at portfolio companies, on site across Europe.
Your Tasks
- Manage the integration into the Mutares finance and reporting processes of our portfolio companies on-site and support the Operations finance workstream
- Work closely with the CFO, the local finance team as well as the Mutares restructuring team on site and the Mutares Group finance team of the Holding
- Manage the financial integration of new acquisitions into the Mutares Group (e.g. establish opening balance, manage PPA, perform IFRS conversion)
- Manage and improve financial statement closing and other finance/controlling processes and at the same time establish a well-functioning finance organisation in the portfolio company
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audit processes
- At least 4 years of experience in management consulting or a Big4 consulting firm (both preferably with restructuring experience) or controlling/finance department of an industry firm
- Finance-related degree from a reputable university or business school
- Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, experience with SAP or other ERP systems or LucaNet is a plus
- Business fluent in German and English
- Willingness to travel 2 -3 days per week
