The Opportunity

This is a pivotal role focused on leveraging your technical underwriting expertise to develop and manage a high-performing portfolio of personal lines partnerships, driving profitability and innovation in Europe.

The Role

• Identify, assess, and onboard partners in personal lines space, including MGAs, insurtechs, brokers, and retailers.
• Apply rigorous underwriting standards to evaluate opportunities, focusing on risk selection, portfolio quality, and profitability.
• Collaborate with partners on product design and pricing to ensure alignment with underwriting appetite and market needs.
• Lead partner onboarding, including negotiating terms, ensuring compliance, and managing technical integration.
• Monitor ongoing performance, guiding partners to maintain underwriting discipline and achieve growth targets.
• Shape our European strategy by building capabilities that enhance our position as a leader in personal lines.

Core Background:

• Proven expertise in technical underwriting for motor, home, and other personal lines.
• Strong ability to assess portfolio risk, profitability, and pricing adequacy.
• Experience collaborating with diverse partners across European markets (language skills here are also a big plus!)
• Skilled in negotiating contracts and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Solid understanding of insurance product design, pricing, and reinsurance solutions.
