We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team on an 12-month contract to lead procurement activities for the onshore substation components of a significant offshore renewable energy project. This is a part-time, flexible role designed for a skilled professional seeking to make an impact on a cutting-edge project while enjoying remote work. You will be required to travel to our EU office 1–2 days per month for essential meetings and collaboration.
As the Procurement Manager, you will take ownership of procurement planning, supplier negotiations, and contract execution, ensuring that project goals for cost, quality, and timelines are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute procurement strategies for onshore substation infrastructure.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier selection, RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations.
Collaborate with technical, project management, and financial teams to align procurement goals with project objectives.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreed terms, mitigating risks where necessary.
Stay informed on market trends, supply chain dynamics, and industry developments.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in procurement management for infrastructure or energy-related projects.
Strong knowledge of substation systems, components, and procurement best practices.
Skilled negotiator with a track record of securing favorable terms and managing complex contracts.
Ability to work effectively in a remote setup while maintaining proactive communication with stakeholders.
Availability to travel to the EU office 1–2 days per month.
Speaking Italian is a bonus, not necessary.
