Sr. Accountant ($85,000-95,000 salary plus bonus)

Korn Ferry has partnered with our client in their search for a Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of GAAP and full-cycle accounting to work in the heavy equipment industry. Must have strong analytical, relational, and system skills

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Accounting department liaison for multiple departments – includes working closely with operations personnel to understand their business to effectively review their income statement for accuracy and completeness, preparation of ad hoc reports, and assistance with researching financial statement issues as requested
• Financial statement preparation – internal and external financials, dashboard, and key statistic reports
• Account reconciliations – daily and monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, correcting journal entries, preparation of supporting work papers for auditors

Necessary Skills:

• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and cost-of-sale accounting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Attention to detail, accuracy
• Effective communication and interaction with non-financial management
• Advanced skill in MS Excel required

Education and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting
• CPA preferred
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in full-cycle Accounting and financial statement preparation/analysis with stable work history
