What To Expect
Tesla’s supply chain team is looking for a Supply Chain Engineer. In this highly visible role, you will develop strategies in reducing costs for next generation custom SOCs for Tesla’s platforms. You will be involved in procurement activities, should cost modelling, long term negotiations, capacity allocation, foundry commercial interfacing, etc.
What You'll Do
Drive cost reduction activities on SOCs related to advanced logic processes Develop strategies in reducing wafer pricing across multiple foundries Predict foundry capacities ahead of time and develop strategies to lock in the allocation ahead of time Qualify vendors who can create long term impact in scaling Tesla’s products while reducing costs Drive qualified vendors to accept Tesla’s commercial and legal terms
What You'll Bring
Degree or equivalent experience with minimum 5 years of experience in foundry management, IP negotiations, should cost modelling, capacity, and product planning Strong background in commercial negotiations from SOC chipsets Hands on experience in should cost modelling, developing legal terms and conditions, pricing agreements Experience is collaborating with external vendors and incorporating cutting edge processes into products is highly desired Some level of understanding in advanced logic foundry processes is desired Experience working with external design houses and IP vendors is highly desirable Ability to resolve ambiguity and adapt to fast paced environment Effective communication and ability to work with geographically distributed teams Expected travel is 25% of time

Expected Compensation
$82,800 - $232,920/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
