Overview


  • SVP, Executive Creative Director (ECD) will inspire, lead, and build best-in-class breakthrough creative integrated marketing campaigns and ensure a cohesive and innovative brand presence across all consumer touchpoints and platforms.


What You Will Do


  • Lead the conceptualization, innovation and execution of all advertising campaigns, including print, digital, and video content.
  • Provide visionary leadership to the creative team, setting strategic direction and fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Ensure consistency in brand messaging, imagery, and tone across all creative deliverables, maintaining brand integrity and cohesion.
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to Macy's Chief Marketing Officer and senior leadership, offering valuable insights and recommendations on creative direction and marketing strategies.
  • Oversee the Photo and Content Studio: Photographers, Photo Art Directors, Stylists, Sample Management teams, Production, Video Production and Operations.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in advertising and creative strategy.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment by cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments and levels of the organization, ensuring cohesive brand experiences.



You Will Need


Strategic Vision: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute creative strategies that align with overarching marketing objectives and brand vision. A strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making, continuously striving for measurable results.

Inspirational Leadership: Proven track record of providing visionary leadership to creative teams, fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams including marketing, merchandising, and digital departments to ensure cohesive brand experiences.

Brand Development: Expertise in driving the development of visually compelling assets and multimedia content that resonate with target audiences, reinforcing brand identity and values.

Talent Development: Proven ability to recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing creative teams, fostering professional growth and succession planning.

Communication: Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, enabling the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.

Efficient Project Management: Strong project management skills to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.

Visual Merchandise Expertise: Outstanding aesthetic in visual merchandising standards and trends, along with innovative and creative product expression and inspiration in a multi-brand retail environment.


Who You Are

  • Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply.
  • 10-15 years of combined experience in creative leadership roles, with a significant portion in agency settings.
  • 10+ years of experience with a proven track record of success in leading creative teams within advertising or marketing agencies, working with diverse clients and industries.
  • 5+ years of experience in retail or consumer-focused environments, demonstrating an understanding or retail-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
