Tax Associate Manager

Overview

As an Associate Tax Manager, you will play a critical role in PepsiCo’s Corporate Tax team, assist Sr. Tax manager and Tax Director in various aspects of U.S. international tax compliance. Your expertise in international tax laws and regulations will be essential to ensure company’s adherence to tax requirements and optimize our tax position.

*This is a hybrid role based out of our Purchase, NY Headquarters and will require coming into the office 3 days a week*

Responsibilities

International Tax Compliance :

  • Prepare and review the Subpart F analysis and E&P adjustments.
  • Assist in GILTI and FTC calculations including foreign asset ratio analysis.
  • Prepare and review the CTB election filings and coordinate with planners.
  • Prepare U.S. international tax filings, including Form 5471, Form 8858, and Form 8868, ensuring their accurate and timely submission.
  • Prepare the necessary disclosure statements under Sections 367, 351, and 368 for tax return filing.
  • Assist with state and local tax filings and state tax audits, ensuring comprehensive compliance across all jurisdictions.
  • Assist with the responses for IRS tax audit Information Document Requests (IDRs), covering topics such as Transition Tax, Earnings and Profits (E&P), FDII, and GILTI.
  • Assist with maintaining the CorpTax system for international tax compliance.

Tax Accounting :

  • Contribute to the preparation of U.S. international tax provisions for the quarterly Effective Tax Rate (ETR) forecasts, assisting with the company's financial planning and reporting.

Research and Planning :

  • Collaborate with tax planners on various planning projects to enhance the company's tax position within legal and regulatory boundaries.

Management :

  • Foster an environment of trust and inclusion.
  • Develop strong relationships with business partners.
  • Maintain a focus on continuing to develop technical tax expertise.

Tax Specialty Breakdown :

  • International – 100%

Estimated Specific Responsibility Breakdown :

  • Tax return preparation/review - 60%
  • Research, planning and business support - 10%
  • FAS109/Forecasting - 10%
  • Audit Defense – 20%

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4+ years of experience in international tax compliance and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. international tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax compliance software, including CorpTax.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel experience (pivot tables, complex formulas, etc.)
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • A commitment to ethical and compliant tax practices.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master's degree or CPA
  • Prior knowledge of PowerBI and Alteryx

Compensation and Benefit :

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $85,200 - $142,650 based on a full-time schedule.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.
