The Travel/Interim RN Manager/Director of Case Management is a temporary leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing the case management department in healthcare organizations or social services agencies. This role requires travel to different locations to provide interim leadership and ensure the efficient and effective delivery of case management services. The Travel/Interim RN Manager/Director of Case Management will collaborate with the senior management team and lead the case management department in achieving organizational goals and maintaining high-quality standards of care.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to the case management team.
Ensure adherence to professional standards, ethical guidelines, and organizational policies.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes staff development and engagement.
Develop and implement case management programs and initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Establish goals, objectives, and outcome measures for the department.
Design and implement standardized processes and protocols for case management.
Monitor and evaluate the quality of case management services provided.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, licensing requirements, and accreditation standards.
Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives based on identified needs.
Manage the allocation of resources, including staffing, budget, and equipment.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix to meet patient needs.
Develop and monitor departmental budget in collaboration with the finance department.
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure integrated and coordinated care.
Foster effective communication and collaboration among the case management team and other departments.
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and committees to promote effective care coordination.
Develop and implement performance evaluation systems for case management staff.
Collect and analyze data to track outcomes, identify trends, and generate reports.
Prepare and present reports to senior management and relevant committees.
Provide temporary leadership and support during transitional periods or when a permanent manager/director is absent.
Ensure continuity of case management services and smooth operations of the department.
Facilitate knowledge transfer and onboarding of new staff members, as needed.
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the respective jurisdiction.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in case management, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of case management principles, best practices, and relevant regulations.
Previous experience in a managerial or directorial role is highly desirable.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with electronic health record systems and case management software.
Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement systems and utilization management is advantageous.
Willingness to travel and work on an interim basis.
