Role overview

The US GAAP Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reporting financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP standards, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparare and review financial statements and reports to ensure compliance with US GAAP.

  • Coordinate the financial close process, including journal entries with outsourced accountants, account/inter-company reconciliations, and variance analyses.

  • familiar with consolidation and multi currency transactions.

  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end processes.

  • Analyze financial data and present insights to senior management.

  • Coordination with US tax consultants to ensure accurate tax accounting and in time preparation of tax returns.

  • Ensure compliance with various regulatory requirements, i.e., tax filings, statutory reporting, and audit procedures.

  • Manage the audit process and develop accounting policies to ensure US GAAP compliance.

  • Identify and support systems improvements and changes where required.

  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, and communicate implications to stakeholders.

  • Assist in accounting due diligence, post-acquisition integration support, and/or other special projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 4-5 year experience in mid-tier or global management consulting firms.

  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, financial principles, and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong knowledge of US tax laws is a must.

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is a plus.

  • Experience with ERP systems like Netsuite, Sage INtact etc.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Familiarity with SaaS or Technology.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and translate insights effectively.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to adapt to change, embrace challenges, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
