Job Description

The Vice President, Product Architecture is a key member of the Technology Leadership Team and will define and implement the MHK technology architecture vision, strategy, growth, and differentiation. The role reports to the Chief Technology Officer and requires an experienced Architect with a strong background in SaaS solutions. The role also requires a dedication and focus to achieve high customer satisfaction and while delivering on the MHK technical architecture vision.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Architectural Design:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise product architectural framework that aligns with the business strategy and goals.
  • Lead a high-performing architecture team in modernizing customer facing digital technologies and upgrading existing SaaS platforms.

Cloud Optimization:

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions using AWS Cloud Platform.
  • Establish and enforce cloud governance policies, standards, and best practices for security, compliance, performance, and reliability.
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost management through automation, monitoring, and analytics.
  • Integrate cloud services with on-premise systems and legacy applications using APIs, microservices, and serverless architectures.

Technology Strategy:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and provide strategic guidance on technology investments.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to inform the company's technology roadmap.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with product management, development, operations, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of architectural solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and foster a shared understanding of architectural decisions.

Security and Compliance:

  • Define and implement security best practices for SaaS applications in compliance with healthcare industry regulations.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks.

Documentation and Governance:

  • Create and maintain architectural documentation, ensuring that it reflects the current state of systems and applications.
  • Establish and enforce architectural governance processes to maintain consistency and quality.

Skill, Experience & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Technology with a minimum of 6 years in a technical architect capacity and with leading technical architects/resource management.
  • Proven experience as an Product and Enterprise Architect in the healthcare or SaaS industry, highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing scalable and secure SaaS solutions.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and microservices architecture.
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence with prospective clients or business partners.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with remote/geographically distributed teams.
  • Ability to lead effectively and collaborate as a cross-functional peer.
  • Analytical and process-oriented with an innovation mindset.
  • Adept at making decisions and anticipating roadblocks with minimal information.
  • Superior communication, analytical, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient with Word, Power Point, Excel, Visio and Document Management.

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Additional Requirements:

  • Desired location: Tampa. Remote Candidates will be considered.
