The Vice President of Sales and Marketing reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is responsible for leading the strategic vision for all sales and marketing efforts. The VP of Sales and Marketing is accountable for maintaining an exceptional understanding of how to manage all aspects of sales and marketing efforts. Their main duties are to ensure sales revenue meets or exceeds goals, to keep the company profitable, and to develop a strong market growth strategy.

VP of Sales & Marketing Summary:

The VP of Sales & Marketing is responsible for upholding the Company's brand image and providing exceptional partnership to all internal and external stakeholders.

Relying on industry expertise, you must cultivate sustainable business growth by exceeding pre-established goals, driving sales and marketing strategies, and coordinating scalable solutions.

This role requires high ownership, intrinsic motivation, initiative, expertise in sales or fundraising, enthusiasm, business acumen, and interpersonal skills.

Effective communication with clients and internal team members is crucial for success in this position in addition to operating with integrity and respect.

Travel Requirements approx. 25% of the time.

General Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a proven track record in fostering heightened brand awareness and exceeding annual revenue goals.
  • Generate new sales using our app, website, or other means following the guidelines of the leadership team.
  • Achieve or exceed pre-established sales goals; presently 1 million USD in beginning annual revenue.
  • Complete daily sales reports to prepare a weekly summary, which will be used to monitor sales goal progress and to guide further strategic discussions with the CEO.
  • Develop a detailed “go-to-market” strategy for TEAM BUTTER® that relies on the use of existing assets and work with the CEO to monitor progress and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Build an internal sales team through recruitment and selection methods that will help to promote future growth through Team Butter’s service offerings.
  • Create short-term and long-term sales & marketing strategies, plans, and forecasts.
  • Use market data to identify market opportunities, and develop strategies to target new audiences (i.e., church groups, daycares, PTO/PTA, marching bands, dance teams, youth groups, choirs, cheerleading teams, gymnastics organizations, dance teams, etc.).
  • Call on strategic national accounts to ensure expanded fundraising distribution and provide concise updates to the leadership team to ensure flawless execution of the marketplace growth strategy.
  • Where applicable, travel for in-person meetings to secure corporate fundraising.
  • Recommend and assist in scaling the sales and marketing staff as the business grows.
  • Deploy plans to meet company objectives, manage budgets, coordinate client accounts, oversee new projects, and work with other executive leadership business partners to achieve a long-term outlook.
  • Complete all assignments as received by the CEO and in coordination with other Executive Management team members.

Required Skills & Characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Professional experience with high-profile sales and marketing efforts.
  • Strategic planning capabilities.
  • Experience with CRM software, MS Office, and other industry-related software.
  • Analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate integrity, respect, and compassion toward others.
