Update the Android SDK and tools
- Android Studio and the various components that make up the Android SDK are updated frequently. Each time you start up the software, it'll check online to see if there are any available updates. The Welcome screen looks different than this when you have a project already created. And if so, you might see a little event icon in the lower right corner and from there you can effectively upgrade the software. But if you don't see that, you can always update from the Settings or Preferences screen From this version of the Welcome screen, I'll go to the Customize category and then I'll select All Settings. From there I'll go to Appearance and Behavior, System Settings, Updates. To watch for updates you need to select a channel. If you're just using Android Studio for ongoing development, I recommend using the Stable channel. Then you'll only get updates to software that's been fully tested. You can also choose the Beta…
