- [Instructor] The exam syllabus indicates you'll need to be familiar with creating a network virtual appliance or NVA in a virtual hub. So we'll start with the basics of how this solution works in the context of Azure Virtual WAN. So you can deploy select network virtual appliances into a virtual WAN hub, and the resulting solution is jointly managed by Microsoft Azure and third party Network Virtual Appliance vendors. Now, when an NVA is deployed into a Virtual WAN hub, it serves as a third party gateway with various functionalities. It might serve as an SD-WAN gateway, a firewall, or potentially, a combination of both. There is some flexibility there for the partner. So let's talk about how it works. So all of these NVA offerings that are available to be deployed into a virtual WAN hub will have a managed application, and customers will choose the offer out of the Azure marketplace.
