Business analysis: Supporting project management work
- Have you ever wondered what business analysis is or what role a business analyst might play on your project? What value do they add? Or what if you don't have a business analyst does that even matter? Or should it? Hi, I'm Gretta Blash, and I started my career in IT, but because I was more interested in the customer than the technology, I became a systems analyst. Over time, I was given a responsibility as a project manager but I've never taken off my analyst's hat, questioning and analyzing everything probably best personifying the Five Why's approach. But we'll look at that approach, and others later in the course. We'll explore what the business analyst brings to the table. So that means we'll talk through business analysis competencies and activities, but don't worry, we'll pull out what's most relevant for PMs. So let's not waste any more time. Let's get on with the show.
