- You, me, and everything else that's alive needs nature, especially the services it provides, like air and water. But the economy has a massive need for nature as well. All materials that make up our modern world come from the natural world. So the third goal of the circular economy is to restore and regenerate nature by reducing extraction of raw materials, restoring ecosystems and being a bit more appreciative of all that nature does for us, like regulating the climate and giving us delicious fresh oxygen. The regenerating nature goal is about preferencing renewable resources by prioritizing the use and production of non-fossil fuel-based resources. This could be done through divesting from fossil fuels or investing in renewables, restoring and regenerating land-based crops that you use, creating circular flows to reduce the need of extraction of resources from nature, ensuring materials you do use are sustainable…
