The circular economy
- The circular economy is a new way of designing products, creating business models, and delivering value into the economy without waste, pollution, or negative impacts to the environment. As a business objective the circular economy offers significant innovation and value creation opportunities which is exactly what we'll be covering in this course. I'm Leyla Acaroglu, I'm a designer, entrepreneur and circular economy provocateur. I like to challenge people to think differently about how we make everyday things, but without the waste. And in this course, I'll be sharing specific approaches for achieving the goals of the circular economy to eliminate waste, to make things last longer, and to restore and repair nature. We'll be doing this through different models like reuse, repair, remanufacture, and redesign. Each of these business cases will be explained as a concept with lots and lots of examples. So join me in discovering the powerful potential of thinking differently about the way we create everyday things and the opportunity of the circular economy approach to designing a world that works better for all of us.
