- Imagine you're working on a project and you've hit a roadblock. You are unsure of the next steps. You get talking to a friend who's had some experience in the area that you're working on. Your friend gives you an amazing piece of advice and tells you about a situation that they encountered similar to yours, and how they overcame the challenges they faced. This is informal feedback. It's advice and suggestions about what you could do to move forward, and usually it's unplanned. Often, the most useful feedback we receive is delivered in real-time, helping you to tackle the challenges you're facing right now. The trick is to make informal feedback part of everyday conversation. Real-time feedback helps your team to make continuous small improvements.
