- We've designed the live cast, and now it's time to start meeting with our collaborators, and doing run throughs. Before we do though, however, I just want to take a moment to talk high-level, about technical setup. Okay, so what do you need to put together a live show? Well, at the very least, you need a camera, you need a microphone, you need a stable internet connection, and you need a live casting platform, which of course is connected to a computer or mobile device. And on the list of very nice to haves, is good lighting, some basic production design to make your space look its best, a second monitor, and an additional device to ensure the live stream is working as intended. There's a lot more you can invest in, but I'll just briefly cover the basics for now. Now, most people either use a webcam or a phone camera for their live cast.
