- No matter how much you've prepared and are confident in your show, obstacles do crop up. And if you go live on a regular basis, it's not if these things will happen, it's when. Back in Chapter One, we talked about many of the technical problems that can arise, as well as what to do to mitigate them. Let's now address issues related to content and flow. And actually, I will start with something that's also related to a technical issue, and that's if you lose your guest during a livecast. Maybe their internet dropped out or their computer crashed. Who knows? All you know is that they're gone and you have no idea when or if they're coming back. My advice here is, again, related to preparation. Make sure you have a pocket of content that you can easily riff from all on your own. Yes, this is usually going to involve some extra research and organization, but it is worth the effort.
