- You might think of ESG as another acronym, but it's so much more. When we boil it down, it's about restoring balance to the natural environment, our organizations, and our communities. We do this while bringing them growth, innovation, and ongoing success. So to answer the question "What is ESG?", It's the environmental, social, and governance factors that collectively form its bedrock. Environmental considerations encompass a company's impact on the planet. This means evaluating a business's carbon footprint, energy efficiency, and commitment to sustainable practices. For example, companies that incorporate renewable energy sources and implement eco-friendly production methods align with positive environmental practices. Social factors assess a company's impact on society.
