Create an appointment and an all-day event
- [Instructor] To create an event from the Home ribbon tab, click New event, or what I find to be a much faster way is to click inside the actual time and day that you want the appointment to occur. You can either click once, or if your appointment is going to span more than one time slot, you can click and drag with your mouse and let go. I can start by putting in a title. (keyboard clacking) Now, you'll notice as soon as I put in the title, Outlook has already chosen a charm for me. It's going to change depending on what you put in. I can click on this and update it to something. It's just to make it easy to spot on my calendar. If I wanted to change the time and date, even though I selected the appropriate time in the calendar, I can click this Calendar icon to change the start day or the end day, and likewise with the start time and the end time.
