- [Instructor] In this video, I'd like to add a plate and bolt it down by simply adding a freehand sketch. We can now add a plate without having to be a Revit genius. Also, we can space bolts any way we like. So in Revit under Models, let's go to Open. Let's grab Structural_13-05 and click Open. Let's go up to the roof level. In the project browser, let's scroll down 'til we find roof. Double click on it. Let's zoom into this area here. Let's create a callout. On the view tab, let's click on Callout. Let's put a box right around this whole area here. Let's move our little bubble up. Click off of it, double click on your bubble. Let's set the view scale to half inch equals a foot. Let's set the detail level to fine. Let's go to Visibility, Graphic Overrides, and click Edit. For search, type in floor. We'll just turn off floors. Hit OK. Cool. Now I want to create a plate. On the Steel tab, click plate. Let's click the Set Work Plane button. Let's pick a plane and hit OK. I want to hover…
