- [Instructor] Many times, we're going to have a situation where we want a column to be constrained from one level to another, of course. However, there might be a cantilever situation where we need to attach our column to the bottom of a beam. We don't really know what the beam depth is, but what we can do is put our column in, attach it, say, from level 1 to level 2, draw on the beam, then attach our column to the bottom of the beam. That way, if we change the beam size, that column is going to stay attached to the bottom. So in Revit, under Models, let's go Open. Press where you're keeping your Exercise Files, let's go to Chapter-02. Let's grab Structural_02-06. Click Open. In the Project Browser, under Structural Plans, let's go up to Level 2. Let's zoom into this area here. I want to create a beam situation, so let's go to Structure, let's go to Beam. For these beams, we'll grab 12x26. Let's make sure Tag on Placement is selected.
