Using storyboards

- One of the best ways to get script approvals and everyone on the same page is to use storyboards. There are lots of tools out there now, apps that allow you, even if you're not a fabulous artist, to create your own storyboards or you can of course use Photoshop and other tools for design. But the purpose of a storyboard is to make sure everyone understands the flow of a story and it's a great tool when you're trying to get all the decision-makers on the same page about how you're going to reveal the story. So here's an example of a project that was involving animation, so obviously for animation we have to have very detailed storyboards. We usually do initial boards where we might only show a few of the characters and then later on in the process with the script, we might have a very detailed storyboarding process where each frame is tied to a different frame of the narration.
