- When you get an order from a retailer for your product, it's an exciting day, as it reaffirms your belief in the item you've worked so tirelessly to sell. On the buyer's side, this decision is a big one for them, too, as they've now allocated purchasing dollars for your product, instead of something else. In addition, the store planogram will now be updated to include your item, and remove someone else's on a certain date. Your buyer has placed a lot of their reputation on you. Once the celebration for your order has died down in your company, all of the various departments will layout their timelines for each of their responsibilities so deadlines are met. There's so much riding on this, from both your side and the retailer's side. You can't let anyone be complacent and it's critical that all schedules are met.
