- [Instructor] Anchor text is clickable text that you can utilize on your website. This is a great way to add internal links to your website, as well as tell Google what the page you are linking to is all about. I have written a blog post in my example website, The Sam Dey Shoe Store. As you can see, I actually have clickable links in here, also known as anchor text. So, this says DeyTips Original swifts, and when you click on it, it takes you to where you can purchase that product. The fact that I have my keyword as clickable text here will indicate to Google what this page that I'm referring to is actually about. This can be really helpful for your search engine optimization and you should optimize and use this where necessary.
