- The second sabotage that prevents you from experiencing resilience, is your brain's negativity bias. Well, what does that mean? It's often said your brain is like Velcro for negative experiences, your brain is like Teflon for positive experiences. Negative experiences, register and stick more strongly into your memory and your brain than positive ones. Well, why would that be the case? You know, I always go back to like evolution, and imagine yourself going back 10,000 years ago, you know, to your survival, ancient Stone Age tribe dweller times. Life was pretty brutal, it was pretty harsh, we all know that. Now, imagine that you were gathering food, and you saw this shiny buried but you almost died from it. You know our brains don't eat that poisonous spirit again. You were again, gathering food, let's say and you heard some rustling in the bushes and you instinctively turned around, and saw that there is a hungry predator…
