- Your brain evolved for seeking safety, security and stability. When we encounter any form of crisis or any form of change, this is going to deeply create distress in our brain. This is what brain science research begins to indicate, but there's some good news here for everyone. Brain science research begins to underscore how we have the tools within us to become more resilient, how to thrive in the face of adversity and change, and to really flourish for the future. The three ways which we can begin to look at this before we kind of go into some of the solutions, some of the three sabotages that hijacks your brain's ability for resilience and thriving, the first is change and uncertainty.
