Please continue to talk and post about this, keep the conversation going. In today’s world where it’s becoming more and more important to enpower women in the workplace and aknowledge and support women’s needs and the different challenges they endure this topic should be very much on the table.

We have a long ways to go. But I am very proud of the leadership we have taken on gender diversity initiatives including our menstrual leave policy, which was among the first in the corporate world. Just for clarity, this was a policy implemented prior to my arrival as CEO, and was not recently introduced as the article incorrectly mentions. We developed extended maternity and paternity leaves on my shift as well as stillborn/miscarriage leave; but the menstrual leave policy was developed by insightful leaders prior to my arrival such as Nicola Billeh and Salim Karadsheh. They deserve the credit.

An invite to all companies and countries to join us in ending the stigma towards Menstruation. Fine Hygienic Holding & Unilever MENA were from the very first to intiate Menstrual leave!
