I know there's a big debate about having #salt and pepper on the table at a fine-dining #restaurant. No matter where you stand on the matter, whether the salt is on the table or only available by request, providing your customers with a curated culinary experience seems the most advantageous for everyone. The perfect pairing of salt should elevate the dish, not cover up for poor flavor or kitchen preparation. The upfront cost is minimally different and pairing the perfect salt with a menu should be considered the same or a more important detail than the proper utensil to consume a dish or any plating exercise. My advice: avoid refined table salt and shakers at the table. They feel like a "band aid" towards poor culinary preparation. Instead, we recommend being thoughtful about providing the perfectly paired finishing salt for your menu. Offer it as a side or add on. Or consider making available in mini-pinch jars on each table. In either circumstance, you are creating a unique experience for your dining guests in a way that will delight and surprise and keep them coming back for more. #SeaSaltSuperstore #FineDining
