Office of Communication will not argue that e-voting systems should be viewed, only as a supplement to, and not a replacement of the existing paper-based voting systems. The suggestion is based on the record of digital divide, the lack of equal access opportunity to the Internet connectivity satellite constellation (Starlink Funds, FCC), liberty, civil participation and social justice and to the FCC infrastructure means (probes to FCC decision to revoke Starlink Funds, 2020, $888.5 million through RDOF). SpaceX connecting means and possibilities of participation, based on FCC (bringing back decision, cancellation of the revoked decision) will lead to the opposite effect, the exclusion of “FCC not connected or illiterate” from information sharing is illegal. The lack of equal access opportunity to the Internet and to the FCC infrastructure means that the democratic process, the right to vote and citizen participation in information sharing is blocked. The government experiences the crisis of confidence. The representative democracy, democratic process and respect constitutions 2 and 1 amendments are not respected. These published lists will detail those Secretary’s and Members of the Congress that will hold a government post, their position and department will be browsed online. Secretaries for Trump's Government will be ordered by Secretary’s ranking, the Office of Cabinet Affairs, Office of the Chief of Staff. The Cabinet's role is to advise the President on any subject which I may require, it is related to the duties of each member's respective office. President Office and Office of the First Lady, Office of the Social Secretary, Office of Legislative Affairs, and Office of Management and Administration, these entities will exist within the Executive Office of the President, President will appoint Secretary of Justice Attorney General, and Secretary of Department of Justice, and other Secretary’s. President will decide on this matter. The Cabinet will include the Vice President and the heads of executive departments, the Secretaries of Agriculture, Defence, Commerce, Education, Energy, Health, etc. Secretary (government) is a politician who heads a ministry, will make and implement decisions on policies in conjunction with the other ministers. US Cabinet officers (Secretary) will choose to go with Council of Economic Advisers, National Security Council, Office of Administration, Office of Management and Budget, White House Office (other entities) when President say. These entities, will exist within the Domestic Policy Council, the White House Office, the Office of the United States Trade Representative, Office of National Drug Control Policy; Office of Science and Technology Policy, NASA, Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation, White House Rural Council, National Security Advisor, National Economic Council or President will organise the government different from that. ✨ Today In Tech #051 - June 29th 2024✨ 💡Topics💡 1️⃣ Politics => Supreme Court Overturns Chevron Doctrine, Paving the Way for Industry Influence Over Tech Regulation 2️⃣ Space => NASA and Boeing Assert Starliner Astronauts Are Not Stranded, Emphasize Safety and Ongoing Tests 3️⃣ Cybercrime => HubSpot Investigates Cybersecurity Incident Affecting Limited Number of Customer Accounts 1️⃣ Politics => Supreme Court Overturns Chevron Doctrine, Paving the Way for Industry Influence Over Tech Regulation 🛈 Source : https://lnkd.in/gBB6NfCd The Supreme Court has made a significant decision in the context of the tech industry by overturning a 40-year-old decision, Chevron v. Natural Resources Defense Council. This decision has opened up regulators to endless interference by industry and the whims of judges as compromised and out of touch as they are. The 1984 Chevron decision established that independent agencies like the EPA, SEC, and FCC also have a say in federal regulation. In cases where the law is ambiguous, the courts must defer to these agencies in their capacity as experts in their fields. The Supreme Court granted itself "exclusive power over every open issue — no matter how expertise-driven or policy-laden — involving the meaning of regulatory law." In other words, the Supreme Court assigned itself the powers currently exercised by every regulatory agency in the country. This is consequential for tech because the tech industry has been facing down a wave of regulatory activity led by these agencies, operating in the vacuum of Congressional action. Due to a lack of effective federal laws in tech, agencies have had to step up and offer updated interpretations of the laws on the books. Tech leaders have loudly and repeatedly asked for federal laws defining and limiting their industries, but Congress is almost incapable of passing any such laws, partly because tech industry lobbyists quietly fight them in the background whenever one with teeth is proposed. This decision is arguably the largest single deregulatory action that could be taken, and without regulation, tech will consolidate and exploit. The next few years will be a free-for-all. There is no barrier, and probably no downside, to industry lawyers challenging every single regulatory decision in court and arguing for a more favorable interpretation of the law.

**Of truth, consequences, and the future** This is published in longer form over on substack. Click the link below. I and our entire EVSN staff have decided we will continue to report the full truth, including reporting on aerospace companies breaking laws / rules / regulations, and reporting on predicted outcomes of different actions / authorizations / deregulation. As always, our reporting will be rooted in facts and in science. We recognize this will likely cost us some of our donors, could cost us some of our funding, and may put us personally at risk if the worst-case, retribution against detractors, threats becomes actions. We would rather face consequences than try and live with ourselves knowing we didn’t present the complete story about what is going on in space science (which includes Earth science) and aerospace.

Buyer beware. There are lots of other #EVs to buy. #NASA also must give SpaceX an ultimatum and start nurturing #alternatives. Now that the #entrepreneurialstate has demonstrated it can bootstrap commercial space startups to replicate what it accomplished sixty years ago, but now with vastly more sophisticated technology, we need to start prioritizing national #values and #leadership #ethics in our spaceflight ecosystem. How? Through the upper hand in #negotiation that comes from being in a stronger position: our values are more important than our mission. We are willing to suffer setbacks in terminating an ethically bad investment rather than to be held hostage to someone with incommensurate values. Musk may not "grok" it, but that would make our negotiating position even #stronger.

I’m afraid Lady Justice may never get her astronaut wings to complement her majestic toga! There are some substantial obstacles in place that hinder any hope of implementing judicial processes in the event of international criminal or national security activity there. These obstacles between states exists on Earth as well, but the situation becomes even more complicated – and exploitable – on orbit. Consider these less-than-optimal conditions for a moment: 👉 Adequate laws in space don’t exist to either regulate modern activity there or establish whether any infraction has even occurred. Besides a broadly written treaty from 1967 which includes a nod to obeying the U.N. Charter, most non-nuclear activity is fair game (or at least reasonably argumentative) in the eyes of the law. 👉 There are no confident means to attribute malevolent behavior. There is no neutral space cop, so each participant has the responsibility to report any suspected violations. Only a few powerful nations even have the technical ability to see what’s happening that far away and those nations will plausibly deny any claim against them with their own interpreted data. These events will become influence operations in the court of public opinion and will get more ambiguous with #DeepFake and #AI technology. 👉 Space is open to every nation, regardless of their governing philosophy. This means that many nations prefer more authoritarian ideals versus those prized by democratic societies, thus removing any interest in how Lady Justice impartially operates in the first place. 👉 Without global norms of behavior, binding guidelines, or a new space treaty, the recurring examples of borderline behavior and lack of response are becoming customary law each day. Any nation with visions of responsible activity that are different than what is occurring will be pushing a wet noodle up a steep legal hill. It all begins with establishing contemporary laws or guidelines that govern modern space activity, which seems highly improbable in the gridlocked geopolitical environment. Without these laws, Lady Justice’s scales will be legally as useless as they are physically in the zero-gravity environment. Absent these scales of justice, nations may feel compelled to use her sword to address disputes instead and that would be a bad day for everyone. #spacelaw #spacepolicy #spacestrategy
