It's truly amazing to see project management principles being implemented across different industries. 1. First, dot pulling is used to help prioritize the important activities an owner wants in their construction. 2. Then, this course talks about incorporating Lean principles of productivity in the tried and tested CPM method to make it more efficient and reduce downtime. Excited to see what other principles can be used in Construction to make it better than it already is. Just finished the course “Construction Management: Planning and Scheduling” by Jim Rogers! Just finished the course “Construction Management Foundations” by Jim Rogers! I’m excited to share that I’ve just completed the "Construction Management Foundations" course on LinkedIn Learning! This course has given me a solid understanding of the essential principles and best practices for managing construction projects. Here are my top three takeaways: *Understanding the Construction Project Lifecycle: I gained a comprehensive understanding of the construction project lifecycle—from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closeout. Knowing the distinct phases helps in planning, coordinating, and managing resources efficiently throughout a project. *Balancing the Triple Constraint: The course emphasized the importance of balancing the "Triple Constraint"—scope, time, and cost. I learned practical strategies for managing these constraints effectively to deliver a project that meets client expectations, stays on schedule, and remains within budget. Importance of Stakeholder Management: Construction projects involve multiple stakeholders, including clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. *Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management are crucial to ensure alignment, minimize conflicts, and keep the project moving forward smoothly. I’m looking forward to applying these principles in future projects to ensure they are delivered successfully, on time, and within budget. If you have any tips or experiences in construction management, I’d love to hear your thoughts! #ConstructionManagement #ProjectManagement #StakeholderEngagement #ProfessionalDevelopment #ContinuousLearning Check it out: https://lnkd.in/ebwvXBXE #constructionmanagement.

In my quest to gain more knowledge about Construction Project Management, it was a really fascinating watch, that gave me some insights as to how a Construction Project has evolved from a Design-Bid-Build method to a more Integrated Project Delivery Method, where Architects and Contractors play equal roles in assessing the feasibility of a project, and providing alternatives that benefit the organization from a cost, schedule, and scope perspective, enhancing the overall quality in the process.
