🌟 Just read an insightful article from CNN that highlights a crucial aspect of our work in fundraising: the importance of transparency. As fundraisers, we have a responsibility to ensure that our donation processes are clear and straightforward, especially for our most generous supporters. It's vital to create experiences that are honest and easy to navigate for all donors, including those who may not be as tech-savvy. Misleading practices, such as automatically switching to a recurring donation or automatically applying an upcharge to cover processing fees, need to be evaluated on how they impact these individuals. We must ensure our practices don't undermine the trust we work hard to build. It's never worth sacrificing integrity for quick financial gain. Most people think that the only way to donate is by giving money. But your time & skills can be just as valuable. Every quarter at Pink Trumpet, I donate to an organization that supports women & girls. In Q1 of 2024, I gave my time & resources. Recently, I supported: → Pastoral Women’s Council (PWC) With their 2023 annual report. For many nonprofits, while an annual report is a great fundraising tool, the cost of creating one can be quite high. It’s instances like this where the gift of time can be the most valuable donation.
