In just ONE WEEK, I’m heading to one of my all-time favorite events— Formnext - Where ideas take shape I’m excited to network, learn from the top, and share what we’re doing at 1000 Kelvin. Here’s the deal: we’re working HARD to break down the barriers in #additivemanufacturing. Too many companies are stuck in the past, bogged down by outdated methods and approaches. They’re missing the big picture. #AI is here, and it’s already changing the way we design, engineer, and manufacture. Like it or not, this is the future. Book a meeting, and let’s talk! https://lnkd.in/dczyVkCw #Formnext

Are We Living in a Simulation? Exploring the Arguments Never could I have imagined walking down the streets from the movie Scarface in real life. In my own life, there have been a few moments when I've lost my sense of reality. Even now, I sometimes can't believe my own reality. Imagine this: I'm a man from Boryspil, a small town in Ukraine. I've faced the especially striking challenges that life threw at my country and me—introducing mandatory exams at the end of school, a revolution, COVID-19, and, ultimately, a #war. In a short span of time, I magically found myself on the opposite side of the #Earth, without family or friends, and capable of generating means to survive in another place. How can anyone believe in that? Have you ever felt like something was just a little bit off, like reality itself had a glitch? The #simulation hypothesis suggests that our reality could be a sophisticated computer simulation. Exploring the simulation hypothesis encourages us to think beyond the conventional boundaries and question the very fabric of our #existence. Whether or not we can prove it, this intriguing idea pushes us to explore the limits of our understanding and the nature of #reality itself. What do you think about the idea that we might be living in a computer simulation? Could our reality be just a sophisticated code? #SimulationHypothesis #QuantumMechanics #Reality #NickBostrom #Innovation #Science #TechTrends #FutureOfTechnology #AI #QuantumComputing #MachineLearning #DataScience #STEM #Technology #Future #TechInnovation #ScienceNews #civilizations #Physics #Exploring #hypothesis

Riding the Waves of Change and great Insights from a great interview between Stephen Fry and John Cleese. In a remarkable interview, Stephen Fry shares a powerful metaphor with John Cleese, likening our current technological advancements to "children playing on the beach," blissfully unaware of the transformative tsunami brewing on the horizon. This conversation sheds light on a critical perspective that demands our attention. As we delve into technologies like brain-machine interfaces, by visionaries like Sam Altman,Sean Carroll,Mark Zuckerberg,Elon Musk, and explore realms of quantum computing, robotics, and AI, we're not just looking at incremental changes but a seismic shift in our very existence. The fusion of genomics, nanomaterials, and new forms of AI is not just a wave but a confluence forming a tsunami that promises to reshape our world. Why,this Matters to all of us you ask? I felt, that stephen Fry's analogy is a stark reminder of the urgency with which we need to engage with our emerging reality. The playful ignorance on the beach as a gigantic wave forms in the background is a powerful image of today’s technological landscape. This isn't just about technological curiosity; it's about preparing for a future where these technologies will redefine what it means to be human. As we all stand on the brink of developing Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), the conversation between Fry and Cleese highlights a critical junction in our history. The implications of such technologies are profound, and the ethical, philosophical, and practical challenges they pose are immense. Why it’s important for us all to keep Looking Ahead? The next century will be defined by our response to these challenges. Embracing this change responsibly and ethically will determine the quality of our future. Let us all move beyond the small concerns that often preoccupy our discussions and prepare for the significant shifts ahead. And as leaders, thinkers, and innovators, it’s time we all to turn and face the sea, understanding the currents that drive it. Keen to know your thoughts,on the best ways we can prepare for and shape this future? And most importantly “What are your thoughts on the intersection of these transformative technologies”? #Technology #FutureTrends #StephenFry #JohnCleese #Innovation #AI #EthicsInAI

Doing as much #innovation work as we do at Proto, we know the absolute biggest barriers to launching new products, services, or brands is risk. One thing not being talked about nearly enough-- and a key focus of how we are leveraging #AI-- is the emerging ability to simulate the future. #Simulation has been used to answer humanity's biggest questions since ancient times. The opportunity emerging today is democratizing its usage for organizations that couldn't previously afford the resources to use it. Peter Pawlick has authored a wonderful, serialized piece on ON_Discourse. You can see the first few installments here. Please feel free to share your own examples or thoughts below. https://lnkd.in/eTzmXrts

A great piece from Peter Pawlick on how AI is being used to de-risk innovation work, which is often the biggest barrier for big companies doing something new. If you're interested in learning more, our team at Proto would love to take you through some examples of this in action. Stay tuned for parts 3-5 coming in the weeks ahead.
